Note Correction in Table Below: Patch, Not Hence
The Preakness 2017 results showed us the limits of using Horse Astrology. We do not have the hours of birth of the contenders and thus cannot calculate their Rising Signs or their “Your Lucky Times” SM.
There are hints that the astrology of the human connections is involved in the results. The co-owner of Preakness winner Cloud Computing, Seth Klarman, who grew up a few blocks from Pimlico, had a birthday the day after the race. This makes determining which horse is going to win so complicated as to be impossible. Nevertheless, I am presenting the birth information about the trainers I could find in the second chart below.
This year we do not have the possibility of a Triple Crown Winner — and in fact, neither the winner of the Kentucky Derby nor the winner of the Preakness are running. In addition, an early favorite, Classic Empire has an injury and will not contend in the race either. Since the Fortuna and Progressed Aspects [see the first chart below] were not helpful in the Preakness, I am going to turn to the traditional birth chart aspects and the transits on the day of the Belmont, June 10th for my analysis.
The Sun is in Gemini and the Moon is in Capricorn on the day of this last leg of the Triple Crown. The Moon in Capricorn opposing Mars in Cancer and trining (harmonious 120-degree link) Venus in Taurus tells me that the Grit, Determination, and Stamina of Earth are very important today. (Capricorn and Taurus are Earth signs.)
Underscoring this is a trine (harmonious 120-degree link) between Wise Pallas in Aries and Serious Saturn in Sagittarius the morning of the race. Pallas is known for her wisdom and productivity, and Saturn is very definitely an Earth planet, the Ruler of Capricorn. This fairly shouts “Tradition”!
Additionally, the Full Moon in Sagittarius the previous day coincides with the Mighty Jupiter going direct in Libra. Jupiter is the “Great Benefic” of the Zodiac, the largest planet in our Solar System. So I think that this is very favorable to Sagittarian influences in the horses’ and trainers’ charts.
In the final analysis, I think that J Boys Echo’s Sun in Taurus and Moon in Capricorn spell a win in this Race for the Carnations. In addition, his trainer, Dale Romans is an “old school” horseman, with many important winners on his resumé.
Of course, I can see that an argument could be made for the current favorite Irish War Cry, with his Sun in Taurus and Moon in Gemini (latter pairing up with the transiting Sun in Gemini). And his trainer Graham Motion has a wonderful reputation as well.
But I am intrigued by Twisted Tom’s natal [traditional birth chart] Sun conjunct Uranus. Plus his trainer Chad Brown is a Sagittarius and is sure to benefit from the previous day’s Jupiter action.
Then, I still like Multiplier, with his natal Mercury conjunct his Sun and Mars opposite his Uranus.
So I am going with 1 – J Boys Echo, 2 – Irish War Cry, 3 – Twisted Tom, and 4 – Multiplier!
How do you see it? Study the data in the tables below and Lay Your Bets (if that is what you do — this is not a gambling site). Remember, this is for entertainment purposes only!
But please, if you do bet, remember to not wager more than $8-10 a day! Of course, you can only win if it's "Your Lucky Times"SM! Good luck!!
Yours in Good Fortune,
Lucky Star
