At approximately 6:37 pm, Saturday June 8th, race #11 at Belmont Park will run. A mile and a half race on the dirt making it the longest race of the Triple Crown. The transiting Moon will just have changed signs and moved into Virgo, the Sun is in Gemini and will be opposing Jupiter and transiting Uranus moving through its 7-year cycle in Taurus will now be at 5 degrees.
The two horses that have been talked about a lot in the press leading up to the race are Tacitus and War of Will. Although it's still hard to know what to make of the
controversial results of the Kentucky Derby -- not to mention the wet conditions -- the Bill Mott trained Tacitus managed to avoid most of the trouble and finished a very good third in that race. And
it would seem that the extra 1/4 mile today in the Belmont would be to his advantage, as this son of Tapit seems to want to run all day. Tacitus skipped the Preakness three weeks ago, and War Of Will
went on to win that race. So now at Belmont, this race shapes up to be between these two horses. Tacitus, and the Preakness champ, War of Will. The oddsmakers seem to agree with this assessment, and
have given a slight early-line edge to Tacitus at 9-5 vs. 2-1 for War Of Will.
It is going to be tough to bet against these two horses but Astrologically the horse that stands out in this race is Sir Winston. I tend to look on the longer races for a horse that is born with positive aspects to Saturn, giving him the stamina for that extra ¼ mile. For Sir Winston, he was born with a nice Sun Trine Saturn, which will be very well aspected for Saturday by Jupiter and the Sun at 18-19 degrees of Gemini-Sagitarius. But the key for Sir Winston is with the movement of Uranus now at 5 degrees of Taurus it will be exactly conjunct his Mercury and Moon.
Sir Winston to win place and show!
